Gerald Dennis “Jerry” Haley, 69, of Paducah, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2013, in Smithland, Kentucky.

Mr. Haley, also known as Papa Bear, was a retired mechanic with the McCracken County School Board. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group, SNR Flat Track Racing, and Church of Jesus Christ in Sterling Heights, Mich. He attended Victory Assembly in Paducah.

Surviving are his wife, Christina Story Haley; two sons, David D. Haley of Clinton Township, Mich., and Tommy Lee Haley of Paducah; three daughters, Tamie H. Tyra of Paducah, Janie Haley of Turlock, Calif., and Jennifer D. Vowell of Paducah; three brothers, David L. Haley of Smithland, Gary Thomas Haley of California, and Kirk D. Haley of Smithland; two sisters, Helen Crawford of Paducah and Jeannie Richardson of Smithland; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David H. and Juanita G. Haley.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, and after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
