METROPOLIS, Ill. — Services for Alma Lee Fitzpatrick Riley, 86, of Metropolis will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis with the Revs. James H. Vinson and Michael Wade officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis.
Mrs. Riley died at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the home of her granddaughter.
She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis, where she served on the Mother’s Board and was a member of the Missionary Society. She was formerly employed at McAfee’s Used Furniture Store and was a volunteer at COPE.
She is survived by six sons, Virgil Eunice Riley of Unionville, Cameron Riley of Columbia, Mo., Hillary Ray Riley of Dumas, Ark., James Riley and Clemar Lee Riley, both of Metropolis, and Edgar Lee Burns of Vincent, Ind.; five daughters, Sharon Ann Goodman, Brenda Faye Meadows, Emma Louise Riley, Mary M. Riley, and Margaret Ann Bradford, all of Metropolis; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ben Riley Sr.; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Riley; an infant son, Willie Ben Riley Jr., and one brother. Her parents were William Fitzpatrick and Edna Johnson Fitzpatrick Walker.
Friends may after 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the church.
