BENTON — Carolyn Waddell, 76, of Benton died Monday, February 11, 2013, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

She is survived by two daughters, Terry Ann Sams of Benton and Jamie Waldridge of Paducah; four sons, Jeff Waddell of Pinewood, S.C., David Waddell of Benton, Charles Waddell of Coral Spring, Fla., and Brad Waddell of Benton; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Waddell Jr.; one son, Daniel Richard Waddell; and one brother. Her parents were Chester and Marie Owen.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Church of God of Prophecy in Sturgis, with Rev. A.G. Winters officiating.

Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
