OLMSTED, Ill. — Thelma Matilda Bagby, age 90, of Olmsted, Illinois, joined her beloved husband in Heaven, Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She passed away in her home at 8:40 a.m. She would have been 91 on February 16th.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo, in 2007; her grandson, Joseph Edward Bagby; and great-grandson, Michael Brent Childress; her parents, Otto and Louise Schwieger; her brothers, Cecil, Norman, Raymond and Loren Schwieger.
She is survived by one son, James E. Bagby and wife Janis of Paducah; one daughter, Ruth Ann Allcock and husband Michael of Cape Girardeau; her grandson, Jimmy Bagby and wife Karen; great-grandson, Blake; stepgreat-granddaughter, Ashlea Sontag; and stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Bryan and Zoi Sontag, all of Paducah; granddaughter, Janna Childress and husband Todd; great-granddaughter, Kristin Nace; and great-great-grandson, Aiden Nace, all of West Paducah; grandson, Darren Allcock and wife Nicole; and great-grandsons, Luke and Matthew Allcock of Cape Girardeau; her sisters, Ruth Wasson and Louise Golightly of Metropolis; sisters-in-law, Mary Schwieger and Connie Schwieger of Cape Girardeau, Laura Stephens of Paducah, and Carolyn Schwieger of Olmsted, and their families; and caregivers, Kim Mayer, Pam Pribble and Melody Richardson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Phil Davis will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
