CALVERT CITY — Mr. Burnice Lee Walton, 77, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 5:55 p.m. at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Born Monday, June 24, 1935, in McCracken County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Willard Lawrence Walton and the late Elizabeth (Darnall) Walton. He was a member of the Labor Local 1214 for 54 years and was a Labor Foreman for CESA Construction in Calvert City, Ky., and he was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Bertha (Eggen) Walton of Calvert City, Ky.; two sons, Stan Walton, wife Nancy of Hot Springs, Ark., and Randy Walton, wife Patty of Benton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Brad Walton, wife Kari of Benton, Ky., Bryan Walton of Hilton Head, S.C., Austin Walton, wife Jodi of Vinita, Okla., and Taylor Walton of Hot Springs, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Walton of Benton, Ky., and Mallory Walton of Benton, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, J.B. Walton and James Claudie Walton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky, with the Rev. Chris Moore officiating. Interment will follow the service in Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, Ky.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, Kentucky.
