MURRAY — Services for John T. Cavanaugh, 88, of Murray will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason McClure will officiate. Burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cavanaugh, a native of Hillside, Ill., died Thursday, Feb.  7, 2013, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

Mr. Cavanaugh was the owner and operator of K-N Root Beer in Murray, and later retired from the Murray Division of Fisher-Price. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Cavanaugh was preceded in death by a grandson; two sisters and three brothers. His parents were Michael Cavanaugh and Katherine Reidy Cavanaugh.

Mr. Cavanaugh is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor Cavanaugh; two daughters, Coleen Linn of Murray and Marybeth Downs of Murray; one son, Charles Cavanaugh of La Grange Park, Ill.; one sister, Nora Cronin of Lyon, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
