BENTON — Lillie Margaret Daigle, 89, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at her home at the Stilley House.
She loved animals, especially dogs, and her hobbies of gardening and planting flowers. She did beautiful masonry work and loved being outside close to the ocean and/or lake. She loved polka music.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Vied and husband Frank of Benton, Ky.; three grandchildren, Kurt Vied of Marble Head, Mass., Erin Duest of Millville, Mass., and Patricia Daigle of Pueblo, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Santry Vied, Ruby Vied, Jameson Vied and Lee Duest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” E.W. Daigle; her son, David Daigle; four sisters; four brothers; and her parents were Devanie Shields and Blandina Aldredge Shields.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Stilley House in Benton. Robert Chandler will officiate. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at LaFrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford, Maine 04073. Father Edmund A. Babicz will officiate and burial will take place in the Notre Dame Cemetery.
