Jack C. Wilson, 94, of Paducah passed away at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Lourdes Hospital.
Jack was a member of Broadway Church of Christ, where he had served as a deacon. He was the former owner of Wilson Chevrolet/Cadillac for many years, past president of Automotive Trades, and served on the dealer council for Cadillac. During the early ’70s he served as president of Paducah Country Club and served on the Board of Directors for Peoples First National Bank. Jack served on the Salvation Army Board and was Chairman of the Selective Service Board.
He was an avid golfer, and was proud of his three hole-in-ones. Jack was a member of Paducah Lions Club, Optimist Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club and gained pleasure meeting and eating with his friends each week.
He was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II in the Aleutian Islands where he received the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with two Bronze Stars.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Virgie Eddings Wilson; one daughter, Susan (Chuck) Mullen, Tiline, Ky., and their son, Brandon (Tiffany) Mullen, Houston, Texas, their children, Chloe and Olivia Mullen; one son, Jack Mike (Carol) Wilson, Paducah, Ky., and their children, Jack Michael (Christie) Wilson, Paducah, Ky., and their children, Jackson and Kate Wilson, Shane (Rob) Hawkins, Houston, Texas, and their children, Colter, Cade and Caroline Hawkins; one brother, Aubrey L. Wilson, Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey L. Wilson and Victoria Culp Wilson; one sister, Elizabeth Gladden; and one brother, George P. Wilson.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Broadway Church of Christ with Dan Owen and Andy Claussen officiating. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the church.
