Jennifer Lynn Moreland, 58, of Paducah, passed away at 11:33 a.m. Thursday, January, 31, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.
Though battling sickness in recent years, Jennifer lived a full and rewarding life, enriching those who knew and loved her.
She was a native of Huntingdon, Tenn., born to Aaron and Nancy Hart on December 11, 1954. A registered nurse, she retired from Western Baptist Hospital. Jennifer loved the Lord Jesus, serving faithfully at Central Church of Christ and enjoyed reading and studying her Bible each day. Being highly skilled in monogramming and quilting, she was able to design and make quilts for most everyone she knew. She was licensed in animal rescue and rehabilitation, loving and caring for many different kinds of animals, bringing them into her home and family. She was trained as a handgun marksman.
She is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Moreland, and her mother, Nancy Russell Hart, both of Paducah. A loving and dedicated mother to her sons, Gregory Lee and Phillip Gene Ritchey of Paducah; survived also by her brother, Michael Aaron Hart and wife Diana, and her niece and nephew, Micheala and Aaron Hart, all of Marseilles, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Needom Hart, and a sister, Beverly Gail Manietta.
Visitation for Mrs. Moreland will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Central Church of Christ in Paducah from 12-2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. A graveside committal service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Sellers Hill Cemetery in Huntingdon, Tenn., with Jim Faughn officiating.
