CALVERT CITY — John Edward Hanks, 79, of Calvert City died Friday, February 1, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a retired truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 525.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Campbell Hanks; one son, Bruce Hanks of Princeton; one daughter, Joyce Butler of Gilbertsville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Charles and Geneieve Piepert Hanks.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at Collier Funeral Chapel of Benton with the Revs. C.J. Campbell and Kyle Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton.
Visitation will be held between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
