MURRAY — Walter Worth Irwin, 87, of Murray, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died Saturday, January 26, 2013, at his home.
He was a retired church of Christ minister.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Marie Dial Irwin; three children, Donna Irwin Youngblood of Murray, Travis D. Irwin of Athens, Tenn., and Paul M. Irwin of Collierville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. His parents were Bethel and Lula Irwin.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Germantown church of Christ in Germantown, Tenn., with Richard Youngblood officiating assisted by Travis Irwin, Paul Irwin, Brad Irwin and Andrew Youngblood. Burial will follow in Forrest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis. Visitation will be from 5–8 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray and again from 9:30 a.m. until funeral hour at the church.
