Matthew 25-21 Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. These were the words that Mrs. Vicki Belle Johnson Powers heard as the angels came to carry her to Heaven at 2:06 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013, from Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Powers was a native of Paducah, she was a member of the Gospel Mission Worship Center and was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother and a true friend to many.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Delbert Powers of Reidland; two daughters, Kim Yates and husband Rick and Julie Smith and husband Ted, all of Reidland; one son, Andrew ( Andy) Powers and wife Vonda of Reidland;. her father and stepmother, Ira Earl Johnson and Allen Johnson of Lone Oak; one sister, Aleshia Cron of Paducah; and two brothers, Steve Norsworthy of Brookport, Ill., and Larry Johnson of Lone Oak; seven grandchildren, Brandi Rogers and husband Chad, Jordan Smith and wife Chelsea, Mitchell Hinzman, Garrett Hinzman, Kennedy Powers, Josie Powers, and Andi Powers.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Kreutzer Johnson, and one grandchild, Cutler Hinzman.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Gospel Mission Worship Center with the Rev. Jim Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Marshall County. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Gospel Mission Worship Center and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
