Gladys Ione Wise, 69, died at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill., at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013.
She was a retired registered respiratory therapist. She was an entrepreneur, owning her own company. She also enjoyed helping people and spending time with her children and grandchildren, and loved every cat she came across. She was loved dearly, and will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Heiser of Crown Point, Ind.; three sons, James Van Patter of Milwaukee, Wis., Scott Brian Van Patter of Appleton, Wis., and Marshall Van Patter of Paducah; one sister, Mary Jensen of Oak Creek, Wis.; three brothers, David Wise of Metropolis, Ill., Dale Wise of Paducah, Ky., and Chuck Wise, and her mother, Florence Cunningham Wise.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aden Wise.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 , 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. David Dean officiating.
Visitation for Ms. Wise will begin at 12 noon Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Kenton Cemetery at a later date.
