Jerry Lee Hollowell, 72, of Paducah died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at his home. He was a retiree of Pepsi-Cola Company, co-owner of Jerry’s and Marjorie’s Place, and a self-employed washer and dryer repairman. He attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Thomas Hollowell; five daughters, Tiffany Thomas Hollowell, Jerrilyn Thomas Hollowell, and Diantha Jones, all of Paducah, Aurelia Freeman of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Vickie Wheeler of Augusta, Ga.; three sons, Tony Mackey, Charles Mackey, and Demond Thomas, all of Paducah; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Hollowell of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. His parents were Edward and Addie B. Woods Hollowell.
Service will be at noon Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. LaRita Horton and James H. Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home and again from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the church.
