Jackie Dean Eastwood, 80, of Paducah, passed away at Lourdes hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 9:02 p.m.

Jack was born in Alto Pass, Ill., on August 28, 1932. A native of Gilbertsville, he worked as a Coal-man and Engineer for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He served in the United States Navy, a member of The Scottish Rite -Valley Of Southern Illinois Shriner and member of Masonic Lodge 172 in Fulton. He was a sports enthusiast who not only enjoyed watching various sporting events but competed in many as well. He was a huge fan of UK basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Iris Ann Higgerson Eastwood; his daughters, Pamela Ruth Fleming and husband Gary of Normal, Ill., and Jacqueline Suzette Ward and husband Harry of Los Fresnos, Texas; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brown Lowell Grant Eastwood and Ethell May Wright Eastwood; his son, Jeffrey Lynn Eastwood; his sisters, Mary Lindsey, Ruth Savage and Lorene Thornton; his brothers, Fred, Cletus, Ralph, Paul, Lester and Burl Eastwood, and two grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Eastwood will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Lynn Shurley will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
