BENTON — Services for John “Johnny Bone” Henry McLeod, 52, of Benton will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with Pete Gunn III officiating.

Mr. McLeod, a native of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Marshall County Hospital in Benton.

He was a laborer for the industrial cleaning industry and a member of Benton Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Fay Surles McLeod; one son, William Edward McLeod of Benton; one stepson, William Guy York of Benton; three stepdaughters, Pamela Jestes, Stephanie Lynn York and Angela Faye Walker, all of Benton; five brothers, Russell McLeod, Phillip McLeod, Terry Lee McLeod and Bob McLeod, all of Benton, and Louis “Buddy” McLeod of Princeton; six sisters, Linda Sue McLeod of Smithland, Wilma Dean Taylor of Calvert City, Betty Fay Chastain of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Bethel Henson of Mayfield, Mary Lou Thompson of Benton and Tammy Renee McLeod of Smithland; 12 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

His parents were George McLeod and Ruby Mitchum McLeod.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, until the service time at the funeral home.
