CALVERT CITY — Geneva Fryman Turner, age 95, Calvert City, formerly of Harrison County, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Oakview Nursing Home.
Born in Harrison County, April 3, 1917, to the late Dessie P. and Lola Malone Fryman, she was owner and operator of Turner’s Grocery and a member of First United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Riffle C. Turner Sr.; two brothers, John Fryman and Jim Fryman, and a sister, Helen F. Smith.
She is survived by her son, R.C “Riff” (Karen) Turner, Paducah; three grandchildren, Brad C. (Adrian) Turner, Steven P. Turner and Cynthia Ann Turner; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Turner, Katie Turner, Mallory Turner, Sara Turner and Sydney Turner, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana by Pastor Mike Coppersmith, with visitation at 12 noon. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
