CLINTON — Matthew Arnold Walker, 46, of Clinton died at 11:06 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and owner of Johnny Walker Service Inc. He was a member of Hickman Masonic Lodge #131 F&AM , Ken-Tenn Railroad Shriner & Rizpah Shrine Club of Madisonville, and Clinton Rotary Club. He was a state firearms instructor, firefighter, EMT, Clinton fire chief from 1989 to 2012, Hickman County deputy coroner from 1992-2012, special deputy sheriff, Hazmat technician, extrication technician, rescue technician and rope rescue technician.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Adams Walker; one sister, Miranda Sheffield of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sons, Michael Rushing of Murray and Mark Rushing of Paducah; and two grandchildren.
His parents were Johnny and Doris Bostick Walker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Assembly of God Church in Clinton with Rev. Charles Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the church. Masonic Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
