CALVERT CITY — Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Egner, 94, of Calvert City died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Egner served during World War II in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army and was a member of Mount Moriah Primative Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Merva Dee Smith Egner; one son, David Egner of Calvert City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. His parents were Ed Egner and Lillian Crenshaw Egner.
Graveside services will be noon Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Fooks Cemetery in Benton with Danny Ferrell officiating. Interment to follow with military honors. There will be no visitation.
