Glyndara “Dada” Owings, 96, of Paducah died at 8:32 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Metropolis, Ill.
She was a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Jane Lewis of Metropolis; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles I. Owings; one son, Teddy Gene Owings; one daughter, Sarah “Susie” Johnson; one granddaughter, and one great-grandson. Her parents were Roy and Grace Rudolph.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at New Hope Church Cemetery with Rev. Todd Hawkins officiating. Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
