CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — John Phillip Bellamey, 78, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Olmsted, Ill., died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired electronic salesman.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Deunne of Charleston, Mo., and Kim Britton of Villa Ridge; one son, Tim Bellamey of Metropolis, Ill.; two brothers, Richard (Dick) Bellamey of Lincoln and William (Bill) Bellamey of Kansas City; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters. His parents were Richard and Della (Cook) Bellamey.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge with Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Full military honors will follow by members of the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
