MARION — Charles Norman Winters, 59, of Marion died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at his home.

He was a member of Main Street Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from the U. S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Winters; one son, Steven Winters of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter, Stephanie Reed of Harrisburg, Pa.; his mother, Mary Lou Long of Brookport, Ill.; two sisters, Joyce Mikoliatis of Brookport, and Janet Perisco of Marion; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Long; and one brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, with interment in Mapleview Cemetery with military rites.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013,  at the funeral home.
