KUTTAWA — Jack M. Odom, 79, of Kuttawa died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Caldwell County Medical Center in Princeton.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Odom was a retired correctional officer for Kentucky State Penitentiary and a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Corum Odom; one son, Keith Odom of Kuttawa; three sisters, Mildred Preston of Sebree, Pauline Cobb of Madisonville, and Katherine Ballard of Hopkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Odom; and two brothers. His parents were George Cosby Odom and Connie Walker Odom.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at Hopkinsville. There will be no local visitation or service.
