NEW BURNSIDE, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Billy Fairless of New Burnside will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner cruise aboard the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville, Tenn.

Mr. Fairless and the former Elizabeth Ann Raley were married Dec. 20, 1962, at Highland Park First Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., with the Rev. E.H McElroy officiating.

Mrs. Fairless is the daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Raley.

Mr. Fairless is retired from the Environmental Protection Agency. He is the son of the late Shelby and Mable Fairless.

They are the parents of Liza Linaweaver of New Burnside and Lena Fairless of Staunton, Va. They have four grandchildren.
