Mr. and Mrs. James Myre of Paducah celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Mr. Myre and the former Shirley Ann Gray were married Dec. 29, 1962, in Paducah by A.J. Finch, justice of the peace. Their attendants were Joe Little and Wilma Chumbler.

Mrs. Myre is the daughter of Lulla Ann Horton of Savannah, Tenn.

Mr. Myre is retired from Laborers Local No. 1214. He is the son of the late Charlie and Wilie Mae Myre.

They are the parents of Mary Van Vactor of Calvert City and Sharon New of Kevil. They have four grandchildren.
