Graveside services for Joretta Garrison, 82, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 28, 2012, at Murray City Cemetery in Murray with the Rev. Jim Stairs officiating.

Mrs. Garrison died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She retired from General Motors Corp. in Detroit and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two brothers, Bill Waid of Paducah and James Waid of Symsonia; one sister, Jean Cook of Heath, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurbert Garrison, and several brothers and sisters. Her parents were Oscar Waid and Eva Cornwell Waid.

There will be no visitation. Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
