MURRAY — Giao Cong Dinh, 85, of Murray died at 6:09 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012.

He served in the South Vietnamese Army for 30 years. He immigrated to the United States in 1975. He retired from Murray State University in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Hoa Pham Dinh; seven children, Mai Beasley of Murray, Tri Dinh of Murray, Kim Dinh of Fort Worth, Texas, Tuan Dinh of Murray, Tung Dinh of Murray, Ha Joiner of Louisville, and Huong D. Kelly of Murray; and 11 grandchildren.

Private family services will be held later.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to a favorite charity in memory of Giao C. Dinh.
