Elmer H. “Pig” Stubblefield, 83, of Paducah died at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home.
He was a member of St. James C.M.E., where he served as a trustee and sang in the men’s choir. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems in the maintenance department, and was a former member of Stone Square Lodge #5 F.&A.M. PHA.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Stubblefield; two sons, Joey Stubblefield and Troy D. Stubblefield, both of Paducah; one daughter, La’Tonya Rochelle of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Stubblefield; four brothers, and one sister. His parents were Dallas Stubblefield and Ollie Lowery Stubblefield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at St. James C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Martha E. Granger officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the church. Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
