CADIZ — Larry C. Baggett, 62, of Cadiz died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his home.

He retired as a Trigg County deputy sheriff, and also worked as a correctional officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and supporter of Kentucky Sheriffs Boys & Girls Ranch, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one son, Larry A. Baggett of Clarksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Kim Baggett of Cadiz; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Yvonne Erwin Baggett, and one son, Dennis Baggett. His parents were Henry Clinton and Esteen Slinker Baggett.

Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home. There will be no services.
