MURRAY — Services for Reba Herndon, 98, of Murray will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale and Richard Youngblood will officiate, with burial in the Friendship Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Herndon died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

She retired from the Kenlake Hotel as a kitchen worker with 17 years of service. She was a member of Almo Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Bailey of Murray; two stepdaughters, Glenda Alley of Phoenix and Patsy Brown of Murray; one son, Wade Herndon of Murray; one stepson, Dwain Herndon of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Folwell; her second husband, Lee Herndon; two daughters, Rebecca Herndon and Ruth Offutt; five brothers; seven sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her parents were Cass and Betty Smith Colson.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the funeral home.
