FANCY FARM — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas “Gene” Toon of Fancy Farm will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Senior Citizens Building in Fancy Farm. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.
Mr. Toon and the former Delores Mae Hobbs were married Dec. 29, 1962, by the Rev. Clark Fields at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm. Their attendants were Paul Toon, brother of the groom, and Jeanette Ferrell, sister of the bride.
Mrs. Toon is retired from Curlee Clothing in Mayfield. She is the daughter of the late James Curtis and Violet Hobbs.
Mr. Toon is retired from self-employment. He is the son of the late Thomas Noble and Augusta Toon.
They are the parents of the late Kurt Thomas Toon.
