MAYFIELD — James “Pop” Doublin, 80, of Mayfield died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Doublin was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of Ingersoll-Rand and was the owner of Doublin Septic Service.

He is survived by three daughters, Rhoda Farris, Sally Doublin and Judy Gourley, all of Mayfield; two sisters, Joyce Price of Mayfield and Sharon Price of Hickory; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae Bell Doublin; a son, Donnie Doublin; a daughter, Helma Copeland; and a brother. His parents were Stanley and Gracie Spann Doublin.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Byrn Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Stinson Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at the funeral home.
