DEXTER — Dwain Tubbs, 44, of Dexter died at 2:15 p.m. Friday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

He was a deputy jailer for Calloway County Jail.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ann Garland Tubbs; a daughter, Hannah Tubbs of Dexter; a son, Dakota Holland, naval base in Japan; his mother and stepfather, Margaret Lovett Thorn and Bobby Thorn of Benton; two sisters, Melissa Parchman of Mayfield and Donna Perez of Murray; and two brothers, Daryl Tubbs of Benton and Scott Tubbs of Hardin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Tubbs Sr.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory with Elijah Balentine officiating. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
