MILLER CITY, Ill. — Fleecy G. (Bauer) Yates, 97, of Miller City, Ill., died at 12:06 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church in Miller City, Ill. and was a retired case worker with the State of Illinois Public Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Gwendolyn Arthur of Denver, Colo; a brother, Harry Bauer of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Yates; a daughter, Judy Quesenberry; a son, Lawrence V. Yates; two brothers; and a sister. Her parents were Carl and Novella (Simpson) Bauer.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home Tamms with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will follow in Baumgard Cemetery at Miller City, Ill.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
