MAYFIELD — Gordon E. Allen, 68, of Mayfield died Tuesday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

He was of the Baptist faith and a retired pipefitter with M&H Valve in Anniston, Ala.

Mr. Allen is survived by one son, Gordon Allen Jr., and two daughters, Angela Sullivan and Faith Michelle Hayes, all of Mayfield; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one grandson. His parents were Jessie James and Mirtle Parker Allen.

Private services will be held at Mount Tabor Cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
