Jack McKinney, 84, of Paducah passed away November 21, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.
Mr. McKinney worked for 27 years in the public school systems as a teacher and basketball coach, beginning his career at St. Mary High School and retiring from Lone Oak High School. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a real estate agent and a home contractor.
He is survived by his three daughters, Janet Faye McKinney Myers and husband William Douglas Myers of Hopkinsville, Monty Lynne McKinney Kerns and husband Russell Kevin Kerns of Paducah, Lillian McKinney Marquess and husband Carl W. Marquess Jr. of Paducah; two sons, Timothy J. McKinney and wife Tonja Roell McKinney of Mayfield, Ken D. McKinney of Berkeley, California; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Lyn Myers, William Douglas Myers Jr., Jordan Myers Prendergast, Jeremy David Hall, Jaclyn McKinney Hall, Courtney Lil Kerns, Dylan James Marquess, Carly Renee Marquess, Camille Marquess, Dallas J. McKinney, Donovan Edward McKinney, Dane Vincent McKinney, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Euna Maye Downs McKinney, and his parents, Roy Vaughn and Grace Burkhead McKinney.
A memorial service for Mr. McKinney is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November, 24, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.
Visitation for Mr. McKinney will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, and 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
