LONE OAK — Sybil Brittain, 90, of Lone Oak died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, Ill.

Sybil was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a native of Hazel, Ky. She was active in the PTA while her children were in school, was a Red Cross Blood Drive Volunteer, member of Western Baptist Auxiliary,  and a cashier at K-Mart and Lone Oak Elementary Cafeteria. She loved to travel with family.

Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Ferguson of Lone Oak, Ky.; two sons, Joe Brittain and wife Anita of Charleston, S.C., and Sarasota, Fla.; Gary Brittain and wife Jill of Woodbury, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Cynthia (John) Bohr, Eric (Sarah) Brittain, both of Charleston, S.C., Kimberly (John) Rumrey of Aurora, Ill.; Daren (Kim) Ferguson of Louisville, Ky.; Paul Ferguson of Paducah, Ky.; Travis (Adrienne) Brittain of Wis., and Lacey Brittain of Denver, Colo.; seven great-grandchildren, Katie, Ellie, Nick Rumrey, Ryan and Jarrod Bohr, Owen and Lauren Brittain.

Preceding in death were her husband, Otis Brittain; son-in-law, Lynn Ferguson; her parents, Oakley Homa and Turah Roberta Outland Harmon; one sister, Delta Harmon; and three brothers, Sandy, Gene and Doris Harmon.

Services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Willis Henson and Rev. Mike Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery in Murray, Ky. Friends may call on Saturday, November 24, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
