LA CENTER — Wayne Norman Dixon, 69, of La Center, Ky., died Friday, November 16, 2012, at 11:06 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.

Wayne was born January 19, 1943, to the late John and Pearl Keller Dixon. Wayne worked various jobs throughout his life and was described by his family as a person who could fix anything. He also had a love for horses and will be remembered as a good man who always did his best. Wayne attended Barlow Baptist Church. He will be forever missed by his family and friends who all loved him dearly.

Surviving are three sisters, Linda Wallace of Kevil, Mary Sams of La Center, and Wanda Keith of Cairo, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; all of his family; and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Brunson; nephew, “Big” Ronnie Edging; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. William Culp will officiate. Burial will follow in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday at the funeral home.
