UNION CITY, Tenn. — George Roberson, 90, of Union City died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

He retired from Solo Cup Company in Chicago. He was a member of Bray Temple C.M.E. Church, where he served as a steward for 50 years and as an usher for 45 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Helen Harvey; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Williams; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Iola Taylor Roberson and Annie Roberson; and one sister. His parents were Elliot and Lula Gile) Roberson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Rawls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
