BENTON — Eric S. Rau, 79, of Benton died at 9:25 a.m. Monday at his home.

He was of the Lutheran faith, an Army veteran, and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Koon Rau of Benton; two nephews; and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. His parents were Otto and Elise Rau.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Old Eddyville with the Rev. Mickey Lewis officiating.

Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
