CADIZ — William “Bill” Sills, 65, of Hickory, N.C., formerly of Cadiz, died Thursday at Palliative Care Center & Hospice in Newton, N.C. He had worked as a construction lumber salesman in Bristol, Tenn. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hoyle of Hickory, N.C.; two sons, John Sills of Bumpus Mills, Tenn., and Chad Sills of Abingdon, Va.; three brothers, Andy Sills of Overland Park, Kan., John K. Sills of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James Robert Sills of Hopkinsville; three sisters, Frances Kay Tolsma of Clearwater, Fla., and Martha Ann Cox and Nancy June Yates, both of Bowling Green; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Andrew M. Sills Jr., and Martha Burnett King Sills.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at East End Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
