EDDYVILLE — Charles Arthur Lance, 84, of Eddyville, formerly of Pulaski and West Frankfort, Ill., died Thursday at his home.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired bus driver with Meridian School District #101 in Mounds, Ill.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by six daughters, Carolyn L. Downing of Eddyville, Sharon K. Deason of West Frankfort, Linda S. Griffey of Hopewell, Va., Joann Lance of Eddyville, Peggy J. Mellein of Olmsted, Ill., and Yulonda G. Coleson of Mounds; two stepsons, Curtis Maupin of LaPorte, Ind., and Kenneth Maupin of Cairo, Ill.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Lance; his second wife, Carolyn S. Lance; a son, Danny Lance; two brothers; and two sisters. His parents were William and Annie Lance.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski.
