GOLCONDA, Ill. — Kenneth D. Evitts, 73, of the Glendale community died Monday at home. He was a member of Cedar Grove Social Brethren Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Evitts; three children, Sharon Evitts of Glendale, Arthur Evitts of Wauconda, and Susan Wickman of Florida; two brothers, Howard Evitts of Pope County and Glen Evitts of Paducah; four sisters, Frances Schuchardt of Glendale, Ann Broadway of Nashville, Ill., Darlene Richards of Centralia, and Barbara Bender of Houston; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Marie; two brothers; and a sister. His parents were Whitnel and Jessie Milliken Evitts; his stepmother was Edna Mae Hertter Evitts.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Grove Social Brethren Church in Simpson, with Matt Snell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville.
