MAYFIELD — Ruth Haley Speed, 84, of Mayfield died at 5:05 a.m. Monday at her home. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Tim Speed of Mayfield; four daughters, Carolyn Nelson, Linda Mohler, Christine Watts and Regina Phillips, all of Mayfield; one sister, Irene Bliss of Mayfield; 20 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Speed; two sons, Gary Stanley Speed and Robert Larry Speed; two daughters, Sherlene Bowlin and Nancy Carol Speed; one brother; two sisters; two grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. C.W. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Mayfield Memory Gardens.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
