WATER VALLEY — Glen Suiter, 81, of Water Valley died Monday at his home.

He was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in the Korean conflict. He was also a member of the Roberts Masonic Lodge No. 172 in Fulton and was former owner of Suiter Tire Center.

He is survived by a son, Douglas R. Suiter of Water Valley; a daughter, Candida Sue Robertson of Quincy, Fla.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Suiter of Clinton and Byron Suiter of Mayfield; and four sisters, Debbie Brewer of Lexington, Betty Kay Norman of Mayfield, Shirley Yarbrough of Priorsburg, and Valda McChristian of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann Suiter; and two brothers. His parents were Mildred and Oakley Suiter.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pilot Oak Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He will lie from 1 p.m. Thursday until the funeral hour at Pilot Oak Baptist Church.
