SMITHLAND — Mercedes Watson Rayburn, 89, of Smithland died Friday at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Gaile Rayburn Barnett of Paducah; one son, Ron Rayburn of Mandeville, La.; one sister, Oma Lee Dixon of Florida; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert Rayburn; infant daughter Pamela Rayburn; a half-brother; two brothers; and four sisters. Her parents were Fred and Myrtie Conger Watson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home in Marion.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
