METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Lester Krueger of Metropolis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers, Ky.

Mr. Krueger and the former Edna Lee Peebles were married Oct. 23, 1952, in Piggott, Ark. Their attendants were Shirley Peebles Lewis and Gilbert Krueger.

Mrs. Krueger is retired from retail sales and Speckman Jewelry in Metropolis. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Peebles.

Mr. Krueger is retired from Electric Energy Inc. in Joppa. He is the son of the late Clarence and Agnes Krueger.

They are the parents of Stacey May of Metropolis and Brenda Whitaker of Anna. They have two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
