MURRAY — Esther Pauline Callahan, 97, of Murray, died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday at Spring Creek Health Care.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ferguson Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Charles V. Callahan of Hardin; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby and Mary Sparkman, both of Hartselle, Ala,; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Callahan; three sisters; two brothers; and one great-grandchild; her parents were Eugene and Liz Hartselle.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hartselle, Ala. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
