METROPOLIS, Ill. — Benjerman Lane Wolfe, 15, of Metropolis, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Metropolis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Metropolis with Bro. William Schierbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling Church Cemetery in Brookport, Ill.
Lane Wolfe was loved by so many. He was an honor student at Massac Co. High School, star football player, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved our Lord, Jesus Christ and prayed unselfishly. He was a great father, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and brother. He lived life to the fullest and he will be missed very dearly by all that knew and loved him. We love you Lane! -your family.
Lane is survived by his son, Benjerman Alexander Wolfe of Metropolis, Ill.; his father, Daniel Wolfe and his wife Beth of Metropolis, Ill.; his mother, DeAnna Pierce and her husband Brad of Metropolis, Ill.; four sisters, Charle-Jo Wheeler, Stephanie Cary, Lillian Pierce, all of Metropolis, Ill., and Cheyenne Souders of Lancaster, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Steve and Gayla Wolfe of Hillerman, Ill. and Marilyn Gallagher of Metropolis, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Buddy and Sherry Hall of Metropolis, Ill.; paternal great-grandparents, Wally and Millie Wolfe of Metropolis, Ill.; step-grandparents, Michael and Denise Coe of Pennsylvania; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Stewart; and paternal great-grandparents, Troy and Ada Owens; maternal great-grandparents, Kay Catherine and Jack Stewart; and stepgrandfather, Frank Douglas Cary.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Metropolis.
