BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. John Morgan of Benton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Briensburg Baptist Church Activities Center. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Morgan and the former Paulette Hamlin were married Oct. 20, 1962, by John Stringer at the home of the groom’s parents in Benton. Their attendants were Wanda Washburn and Norman Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan is a retired hairdresser. She is the daughter of the late Mary Nell Hamlin.

Mr. Morgan is a retired contractor. He is the son of the late Lathel and Thelma Morgan.

They have two children: Brad Morgan and Brandon Morgan, both of Benton; and three grandchildren.
